Talking about LCD&OLED

You can often see many people asking, what are LCD and OLED? What's the difference? . .
In this way, Hisense also has ULED, and Samsung also has QLED.

So, let's explain to you the difference between the two.

First of all, the foundation of all LCD screens: LCD (Liquid Liquid Crystal Display),
According to the different backlight sources, LCD can be divided into two types: CCFL and LED. LED is a kind of LCD.

The LCD screen of the LED screen has the advantages of small size and low power consumption, but the disadvantage is that the color performance is relatively poor.

Another type of liquid crystal, CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) has good color performance, but has high power consumption and short lifespan. It is not common nowadays.

OLED (OrganicLight-Emitting Diode) organic light-emitting diodes can be understood as "living LED" light-emitting technology.
The pixels of other technologies can be understood as "dead" and require LEDs (that is, backlights) as light sources.

In other words, unlike LEDs that are projected on a screen with three-primary-color lamps, OLEDs allow semiconductor materials and luminescent materials to emit light through carrier injection and recombination driven by an electric field.

According to the driving method, OLED can be divided into passive OLED (PMOLED) and active OLED (AMOLED), which is the kind used by mobile phones these years.

Due to the "self-luminous" property, OLED can directly control the brightness changes of pixels, and its response speed is much better than LED.

At the same time, because there is no bulky projection, OLED screens can be bent in various ways. Curved TVs and curved screen mobile phones all benefit from the characteristics of OLEDs.

Of course, OLED is not omnipotent. Playing the same picture for a long time will cause the OLED to "burn the screen" and leave an afterimage (for example, watching CCTV1 for a long time will leave a logo).
The dimming problem on the mobile phone also makes strobe a heart disease of many users.

Another core reason is that the price is expensive!

As for the future, stronger QLED (quantum dot) technology is coming, which emits light through extremely small, nano-scale "quantum dot" particles.
In many respects, it is stronger than the existing OLED, but when it will be launched is still unknown.
